Cooking the Ecosystem
On May 10th, 2024, for one night only, Chef Virgilio Martinez of Central in Peru, the current World’s No.1 Restaurant (World’s 50 Best Restaurant Awards) presents a limited seating dining experience at the Grand Egyptian Museum. At Central, Chef Virgilio Martinez and his team “Cook the Ecosystem”, presenting an experience that takes diners through the myriad Peruvian ecosystems, categorized by altitude – from below sea level in the Pacific Ocean to the high peaks of the Andes to the Amazonian territory. Each dish reflects the origin of its ingredients. For CFW, Virgilio brings his unique cooking philosophy to Cairo, to highlight some of Egypt’s diverse and historically rich ecosystems along with some of the Peruvian ones.

Itinerary:
7:30 PM Arrival at the Grand Egyptian Museum. Entrance to museum grounds, parking, passage through entry points and escort to the Grand Staircase will require an estimated 30 minutes.
8:00 PM Arrival at the Temple Garden cocktail lounge followed by welcome drinks & a musical performance.
9:00 PM 6- course tasting menu curated by Chef Virgilio Martinez, served with a pairing of select local wines.
